Finally rain!
It was nice to wake up and hear pouring rain this morning. Even ran in it! There were puddles and everything, and apparently it has helped with the bushfires. We are in day 50 of major bushfires threatening much of Victoria. Today smells like when you dump a bucket of water on a campfire!

Not sure if this will turn out well enough for you to see, but it is very smoky today in Melbourne because of the bush fires. Normally you can see mountains/other buildings in the background.

Well, I resolved to update this more often this year and here it is already the 6th and I'm putting up the first update. Here's a picture from Wednesday night. It is one of our favorite piece of artwork in Melbourne -- a piece of the State Library in the footpath in front of the State Library.
