Have just returned from a girl's weekend in Lorne. Vic, her friend Sandra and I decided to walk from Lorne up to Erskine Falls and back down again. It was only 7.5km each way, so seemed like a nice three hour stroll. 5.5 hours later, we returned, muddy with all sporting wipeouts from the wet logs, too-numerous-to-count river crossings and steep muddy climbs. A very pretty adventure -- but one that is best remembered over a glass of wine, in front of the fire!
