OK -- so I try and update this once a week, and I've missed a few, so I'll try and get caught up.

Firstly, no pictures. That doesn't mean no exercise -- just that we didn't take pictures.

I had a girls weekend down at Lorne on the 14th/15th, where we did some riding, eating and drinking. Some of the other girls did the whole massage/retreat thing, but I was happy to get some exercise and just relax.

The following weekend was at home (for once). Went for a 3 hour ride from the city down towards Frankston (65km) on the Saturday and did some shopping with my birthday money! Woo hoo. Still have more to spend too -- must be very restrained this year!

By looking at this blog, you would think we do nothing but ride mountain bikes! Well, that's not true -- we just take photos of mountain bikes :-)

Rode another race on Sunday -- the Mountain Gold Rush in Beechworth.

We both had big stacks, I was luckier than David, coming off with a few bruises after a face plant. David, well, he's a little more beaten up. Nothing broken or permanently damaged, but it has served a good purpose to remind us that we compete in a contact sport!

Not sure what it is about me and competition -- I always seem to be photographed by the official photographer, but I never appear to be actually competing. Perfect example here -- all of the other photos of competitors are blurry like they are going really fast, and then there is me, meandering through the forest . . .

Three posts in one day -- wow, it's almost like my new computer is up and running and I can actually focus on personal stuff now!!

Like my birthday (tomorrow). Invite here, if you happen to be in Australia, and Melbourne on Friday, I would love to see you.

Catching up on weekends -- this weekend we joined Fat Tyre Flyers and did Race #1 of their winter series. It was very tough -- a short course (just over 5km), but lots of it was so steep you needed to push your bike (even the good people!)

I've started a training program specifically for MTB fitness -- so hopefully next month I'll do better!

This was our reward for a 6am start to the Prom for the long weekend last weekend. We were lucky with the weather -- more photos by clicking!
