Busy busy -- have been everywhere. Went shopping at all of the Boxing Day sales in Melbourne on Boxing Day, and then up to Eildon yesterday. Anglesea today, and then Apollo Bay tomorrow night through New Years. Mom and Dad are off on 3 January, so will have more posts and pictures up before then (but not before New Years!).
Happy 2002!

Merry Christmas!
We had a great day -- very busy with lots of presents, food and more food. It was just the "live-ins" for brunch and the early afternoon, with David's parents arriving around 4:30pm and David's sister Sharon, and her family arriving just after 6pm. So more food, presents and more food. Both boys were great and excited about Christmas (well Nathan smiled alot!), but Jake had to open everything.
Camera seemed to have a little problem early on in the piece -- some of the pictures here are a little blurry. But you get the idea . . .
Guys are off to the cricket tomorrow -- I'm sleeping in!

Yesterday was a busy day -- driving to Healesville (about 1.5 hours east of Melbourne) to the Sanctuary. I had been 10 years ago, but Mom, Dad and Scott were suitably impressed. The sympathetic combination of Australian native forests, animals and humans is truly amazing. It is great to see these elusive creatures close up, yet not in cages. Highlights: watching a very large joey climb in and out of Mom's pouch (captured on video); a baby flying fox tucked in Mom's wings; and a deep and meaningful conversation between Scott and a kookaburra with attitude. We ended the journey by driving back via Kinglake -- a mountainous national park north-east of the city. Gratutious pictures of cute koalas and the like can be found here.
Finally saw Lantana last night. Deserving of all praise and awards it has had flung at it, and one I recommend as well.

First day of my holidays! David has to work until Monday afternoon, and then we're both off until early January. Today Mom, Dad, Scott and I will head off to get some supplies for Christmas Day -- we are having 9 (plus our two nephews) for dinner, so need to stock up! The weather is improving -- calling for warm and fine weather on the 25th! Fingers crossed!

The gallery is up! Yeah!
Check it out here.
We've been busy this week -- Sunday we went and saw my friend Penny and her family for dinner. Monday we went to David's old boss, Owen's house for dinner. Tuesday we picked my cousin Scott up at the airport. And Tuesday night David and I were out with the gang. Last night was the first time we could all catch up!

OK OK -- I'm dying to put up some great photos -- but I cannot see!!
Well I can see, which is very exciting. Confusing? Well I got laser eye surgery done this week! I have 20-20 vision! But staring into the computer gives me a headache and hurts at the moment -- so I have got the pictures on my computer -- but haven't had times to make thumbnails, etc. So -- maybe I'll get an hour tomorrow . . . . I promise . .

11 days into summer and the top temperature today was 18oC. It felt like 10oC. What's up?

It's funny how people can come in and out of your life. How some people you can stay friends with forever, even though you don't see them for months. How you still get mixed up in their lives and care for them.
Miss you Calstar!

My life is so interesting -- populating a music profile into one of our beta sites of artists and albums, given to us by one of the big media companies. Anyway -- favorite album title so far is David Sylvian's Dead Bees On a Cake. Yummy. I Wish My Brother George Was Here by Del The Funky Homosapien was running first, but I can relate to the bees. I don't have a brother you see . . .
My mind is melting . . melting . .

Not sure what is happening with my gallery/galleries. Pretty sure it is an Apache permission problem with PHP. Will update you as I struggle forward . . .
Regarding the archives -- that will not work for about a week. Apparently my last site was very boring, so I didn't bother archiving it!

Good thinking weekend about big "heavy" stuff like this . . . must because it hasn't stopped raining and I've turned on the heating for the first time in weeks . . .

Well, first page up and away. The much promised web design is underway. I will be doing some more work -- ignore some of the links if they don't work -- I only have a few hours in every day you know!
